The morning to be spent exploring this area of Chobe National Park which must be one of the
most productive wildlife systems in the world with its many thousands of elephants and buffalo,
associated lion, hyena, leopard and other predators.
The Chobe National Park is one of the few places where great herds of animals can really roam,
knowing there is always a source of water in the Chobe River which presents a vista of a wildly
beautiful river, with many herds of elephant meandering down onto the floodplains, walking gently
past hippo's and herds of sable antelope, scattering the puku and disturbing the water birds whilst
rumbling on to their favourite drinking spot.
We then take the afternoon boat cruise on the Chobe River which enters into Chobe National Park
and offers another perspective on the riverine area which we passed through on our earlier game drive,
the cruise takes three hours and is a great relaxing way to view the abundant wildlife from the water,
after which we return to our riverside camp for a final dinner.
The campfire may then beckon us for a last time to review and reflect on the previous days activities.
